Morgan's Vale and Woodfalls CE VA Primary School
Key Information
MVW CEVA Primary School was founded in 1869. Now there are 88 children (January 2011) aged 4-11yrs, on the school roll. Most come from the nearby villages of Morgan’s Vale, Woodfalls, Redlynch, Lover and Hale. A number of our children come from the larger village of Downton, 2 miles away, and a few from further a field.
The new school building was completed in February 2001 and now comprises of 4 classes:
Foundation Stage Unit
Mini Morgans (Foundation Stage 1 & 2)
Key Stage 1
Purple Class (Yr 1 / Yr 2) - 23 children
Key Stage 2
Yellow Class (Yr 3 / Yr 4) - 23 children
Green Class (Yr 5 / Yr 6) - 31 children
All classes have an interactive whiteboard, and we have a comprehensive mobile computer suite. There is also a small mobile classroom which houses our library. The original Victorian school building is now the hall. We have 2 playgrounds and a medium sized school field with plenty of play equipment.
