MVW CEVA Primary School was founded in 1869. Now there are 102 children (September 2008) aged 4-11yrs, on the school roll. Most come from the nearby villages of Morgan’s Vale, Woodfalls, Redlynch, Lover and Hale. A number of our children come from the larger village of Downton, 2 miles away, and a few from further a field.

The new school building was completed in February 2001 and now comprises of 4 classes:

Key Stage 1
     Red Class (Reception / Yr1) - 19 children
     Purple Class (Yr1 / Y2) - 19 children

Key Stage 2
     Yellow Class (Yr3 / Yr4) - 31 children
      Green Class (Yr5 / Yr6) - 33 children

All classes have an interactive whiteboard, and we have a comprehensive mobile computer suite. There is also a small mobile classroom which houses our library. The original Victorian school building is now the hall. We have 2 playgrounds and a medium sized school field with plenty of play equipment.
